It's hard to believe I've been in Florida for a month now. Here are a few pictures of some of the places I visited in January.
Jekyll Island, Georgia. Planned to spend a half hour and spent almost two and it wasn't enough.

Awesome bridge in Georgia. Altered my return route so I could cross it again.

NPS site #1 of Florida adventure.

What's left of the fort. Beautiful location.

I've been craving a visit with my friend Katie Bell since we said goodbye over a year ago. I've been craving BWW since Nov. I got to do both at the same time. I miss her already.

NPS site #2. What I think a true NPS visitor center should be. Outside. Hoping to get out on the island while I'm out here.

That boat says "National Park Service". Oh yea!
NPS site #3. Part of the Timacuan Ecological and Historic Preserve.

What I envisioned Florida to look like. Tall cypress trees, Spanish moss, palm fronds, swamps, sandy roads. Love it!

Kingsley Plantation main house. I raced to get to the 2pm ranger talk, was the only one, and got a private tour of the grounds from the ranger.

NPS site #4. A French fort located on the St. Johns River.
A reconstruction of the fort, including moat and authentic shore bird.

Manning the cannon.
More adventures planned for February; stay tuned....
