Visitors and Blessing

We had family in town this past weekend for Wesley's blessing.  It was wonderful. 

Adam flew in on Saturday.  Wesley went to the airport to pick up his uncle and wore the onesie Uncle Adam got for him.  Uncle Adam bought him a pair of shoes to match the outfit, not realizing he, Adam, had the same pair.

 Wesley and Uncle Adam became quite attached to one another.

 Grandma Sharon, Gil's mom, also came for a few days.  She had some quality bonding time as well with Wesley.

Gil gave a beautiful blessing and Wesley cooperated through the whole thing.  He waited until after to get fussy and spit up all over the floor and my skirt.

 No, my child isn't smiling, he's screeching.  It was a long day.

My mother's cousin Susie who lives in the area came to but somehow she escaped without a photo.  It was a wonderful weekend.

Two Months

No fun outdoor pictures for two month birthday.

Wesley got a nap on Grampa.  He is averaging about two or three naps a day, each lasting about a half hour.  He averages 8-9 hours of sleep at night with three or four feedings.  Poor kid, he is not the best sleeper.

Independence Day 2019

For Independence Day, we headed up to the Eldorado National Forest for a hike.  Nona and Grampa came too.  We kept it short because of the little man.

Forest maps and trails are not necessarily the easiest to read or find.  Thankfully, we had GPS and maps and phones and all sorts of fancy technology so we didn't get lost.

 Sugar pine cones are huge!  Almost as long as Wesley!

We got home and had a delicious brisket.  Wesley had some quality Grandpa time.

 And one more of this little man thinking he could get something from Dad's nose! 

Dave Moore Nature Trail

We were able to take a quick afternoon jaunt up to the Dave Moore Nature Trail.  It was pretty hot but the trail was in the shade.  It makes a nice loop down to the river.  Wesley slept through the whole walk.  Poor kid.  He's not a great sleeper so we were thrilled he finally got some rest.
