Preschool and Thanksgiving

I can't believe Wesley is old enough for preschool!

I looked around and found places I liked but since preschool had started two months earlier, I was wait-listed.  I finally found a place I loved and the day we took the tour, a spot opened up and I knew it wasn't coincidence.  It's two days a week for two and a half hours and Wesley loves it!

First day of preschool, or as Wesley told Gil, "I'm going to priesthood!"
His second day was a field trip to a farm.  He could have spent the entire time on this tractor.
Instead of Halloween, the preschool (based at a local Lutheran church) did Bible Alive day.  Since we were studying Jeremiah, that's who Wesley dressed as.
For Thanksgiving, the preschool had a short program.  It was very cute.  They sang two songs and recited a Thanksgiving prayer.  I think Wesley was more excited that I was there than he was to perform.

My darling little boy.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween

Having a three year old is fun because he understands holidays a bit more and gets super excited about them.  Halloween was especially exciting.

For family home evening, the boys carved a pumpkin.  Planning the face.
Gil and Wes took the top off the pumpkin and I asked, "Wesley, do you want to put your hand in there and clean out the pumpkin?"  Wesley quickly took a step back, put his hands behind his back and said, "No, thank you!"

The boys went trick-or-treating together.  Gil went as a mad scientist with his doomsday device and Wesley was a fire fighter.  Again, so excited.  They came home and handed out candy for a bit which for Wesley was as fun as going door to door to get his own.
