This and that. A lot of pictures, mostly of the kids, capturing some of our random moments.
I tried a new recipe for Gil's birthday cake. Wesley approved. He approved so much he took the parchment paper I'd baked the cake in and was trying to get all the crumbs off.
Wesley's preschool class took a field trip to a nearby aquarium. Lauren and I tagged along and enjoyed looking at the fish. Wesley said his favorite thing was the sharks!
We took the kids to a park close by that has a train. Wesley and Gil rode in the caboose (I did that once, will never do it again) and Lauren and I enjoyed the open air.
Wesley loves to cook and has become interested in camping lately. Combining the two, he took Gil's guitar stand, our rice cooker, and the straps off of the diaper bag and did some campfire cooking. Pretty creative.
He also really likes to help with the real deal too. For some reason, on this occasion he worried he was going to spill on himself and stripped down. I worried he was going to burn his tummy. He usually eats his dinner better when he helps prepare it.
Lauren is finally walking! A blessed relief for my arms. She enjoys pushing the broom around the house.

This girl also loves to read! She can often be found just like this, surrounded by a pile of books. She is frequently coming up to us and smacking our legs with a book she'd like us to read to her. She has to turn the pages and we have to help her point to the pictures.

Wesley starts swim lessons in a few weeks and has been anxious about it. We went to get goggles the other day in hopes of alleviating that some what. It has seemed to help. Now, I frequently find the kids wandering around the house in their goggles. Wesley is covering his mouth in this picture because he doesn't want water to get in it.
Playing Play-doh.
